Volunteer!
As parents of students at Martin Luther Christian Schools (MLCS) we ask our families to take an active role in MLCS activities and your child's education. To promote this concept, each elementary family (JK - 5th) is required to contribute 10 hours of volunteer time during the academic year. These "Helping Hand" hours serve to enrich our school and your child's learning experience -- and they are an invaluable asset to our school.
Throughout the year there are opportunities to volunteer during the school day and also during special events that are held outside of school hours. You can accumulate hours by volunteering in your child's classroom, working on fundraising activities, volunteering to work and/or organize PTG sponsored programs and activities, and also by attending monthly PTG meetings (1 hour credit per meeting). A family's requirement will also be fulfilled if you serve as a PTG officer or volunteer to chair any of our fundraisers. A buy-out option is available to families that cannot provide the 10 hours.
Thank you to all of the Helping Hands at MLCS!
